Vision Statement
Diman Regional Technical Institute - School of Practical Nursing graduates will be occupationally-skilled workers whose academic, vocational/technical and workplace competencies will make them responsive to socioeconomic, technological and environmental challenges in a complex and changing society.

The mission of Diman Regional School of Practical Nursing is to develop the unique potential of each learner by enabling students to acquire knowledge skills and dispositions that are needed to achieve the theoretical and technical skills needed to function as an entry level Licensed Practical Nurse.

Informational Sessions will be held in the Practical Nurse Building located at 251 Stonehaven Road. Please use the Locust street entrance.

Pre-admission Test Preparation Course
Applying to the practical nursing program is stressful enough! Do your best on the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) Test, by participating in this prep course. The TEAS Test is a requirement for nursing program admission.

This preparation course will help the student review content to be tested in the four sections of the TEAS Test: English Language Arts, Reading, Mathematics, and Science. Each Class is taught by experienced Diman Regional faculty members.

The fee for this valuable prep course is $190.00, which includes the TEAS Study Review Book (a $50.00 value). Bring your receipt to The Practical Nurse building Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to pick up your book. If you have already purchased a TEAS Test V Study Review book, the fee for this 4 course series is $140.00. The review book is a mandatory resource.

Individual courses may be purchased for $45.00 each course. However, the TEAS Test Review Book is Mandatory and must be purchased for an additional $50.00 if you do not have a Copy. Please go to Practical Nurse Building between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. the first week of class to purchase or pick up your book. The book costs $50.00 .

Classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Class size is limited to 25 students.

Weekday Registration hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 am until 3 pm with Mrs. Laprise in the Practical Nursing Building. Registration for this course closes November 12, 2014.

Evening Registration Hours: Please register at The main building at Diman on Monday and Wednesday evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Registration for this course closes November 12, 2014.

LPN Exam
Please Contact Mrs. Laprise at (508) 672-2970 ext. 6021 to reserve a seat for the following TEAS test dates:
  • Friday, November 7, 2014: Check in at 8:30. The test will finish between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. 25 Seats are available.
  • Monday, November 17, 2014: Check in at 3:00 p.m. The test will finish between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 30 seats available.
  • Tuesday, January 6, 2015: Check in at 3:00 p.m. The test will finish between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 30 seats available.
  • Thursday January 8, 2015: Check in at 8:30. The test will finish between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. 20 Seats are available.
There will be no late entries admitted once the test begins.

Parking: is provided in the student parking lot accessed on Stonehaven Road. Park the car in the lot and walk along Stonehaven Road to the Practical Nurse building entrance. The test will be administered in the Practical Nurse Building.

No food or drink is allowed in the building.

Supplies needed for the test are:
  • Valid government issued photo ID
  • Pencils and eraser
  • Computer generated copy of ATI registration number
  • $45.00 test fee may be paid by Cash, Check or Money Order on the day of the test.

TEAS Retest
Re-Test Dates are available for the TEAS test, please contact Mrs. Laprise at (508)- 672-2970 ext 6021 to reserve a seat.

Each applicant is responsible for the $45.00 nonrefundable test fee. Each applicant is required to present a valid government issued photo ID, and a computer generated copy of their ATI registration number on the day of retesting. There will be no walk-in registrations accepted.

LPN Program graduates 56 nurses
Diman Regional's School of Practical Nursing is proud to announce that 56 students earned certificates of completion on June 30, 2014. Of the graduates, 18 attended the part-time evening program and 38 attended the full time day program.

Test cost increase
Please note: Effective July 1, 2014 testing for Diman Regional School of Practical Nursing will increase to $45.00 and TEAS Prep books will increase to $50.00. This price reflects an increase from the vendor Assessment Technology Institute (ATI).

For more than five decades, the Diman Regional School of Practical Nursing has been training students to care for people in the community.

PRACTICAL MATTERS: Diman School of Practical Nursing offers state-of-the-art learning tools
The School of Practical Nursing at the Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School just celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, but the facility in which the program is held is practically brand new. “It’s a beautiful building,” said Barbara Pitera, nurse administrator of the Diman Regional School of Practical Nursing. Widow of fallen Marine Cpl. Paul Fagundes strives to educate others on heroism of service members
Cindy Fagundes makes a point to talk to her two young children — Cazzian, 2, and Anya, 4 months — about their father on a daily basis.

Marine Cpl. Paul Fagundes passed away July 4, 2010, while attempting to rescue a pair of fellow Marines who were enjoying some time off and got caught in a riptide in the waters near Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. All three perished in the incident. Fagundes was 29 years old. Story continues.
